due to all members of deadstar being involved in alternative ventures, and in part because their record company have seemed lacking in interest regarding releasing a third single from their current album 'somewhere over the radio' the band have decided to stop playing together. this is an amicable break up that has happenned naturally over a period of time.

caroline kennedy and barry palmer, the band's songwriters, are still writing together and have written a song (called 'skylarking') that is to appear on the next bull sisters record.

barry continues to be involved with production and songwriting for a number of bands, and has worked with all-girl band 'lash', whose first single is due out anytime now.

peter jones is continuing study of music, and considering a masters degree and travel to africa to study drums. he still plays with kate ceberano and some other loungey acts around melbourne.

michael den elzen has just completed a trip to north central australia where he was recording music for the television special 'bush mechanics', about aboriginal invention and brilliance with cars in the desert. he continues to write music for television and for his own band 'bird brain'.

peter mccracken and caroline kennedy have written about twenty songs together for a new band called 'the radiogenics'.

the caroline kennedy conspiracy has been permanently put to bed, but some of the material from that band will appear in 'the radiogenics' ' set.

'the radiogenics' lineup is pete mccracken on guitar, jane mccracken on bass and guitar, shamus goble (from the plums) on drums and caroline singing. first gigs as a three piece on the first two sundays in feb at the town hall hotel in nth melbourne. first gig with all members is to be at the empress in nth fitzroy melbourne on friday 16 march.
